I totally get this too. It’s exactly how I felt when I started working with my first coach. But what I learned is that it’s actually so freeing to tell someone else who has my best interest and no emotional attachment to my life my hurts and my pain and what I actually really want in my life. When I spoke it out loud to another human, it opened up my heart and my mind to what was truly possible for me in my life. It’s like having a weekly coffee date with your BFF only your BFF in this scenario is someone who has all the answers, is your champion no matter what and it’s her job to get you exactly what you want. I will never not have a coach in my life and in fact I have two coaches right now. There will always be something else that I want to get and I know that the fastest path to getting it is with a coach guiding me there.
Working with Coach Neill has really influenced my life in so many positive ways. From an overall increase in self-confidence to the ability to make strong confident decisions and showing up as a leader through it all. She has really changed my life and I could not have done it without her help, she is truly amazing to work with, and I can’t wait to tackle the next change with her help.
When I first started my work with Neil, I was a bit of a skeptic. I didn't buy into what I considered to be the "self-help" industry. I've always considered myself to be fairly self-aware--even if I didn't necessarily act to solve my problems, I was, at the very least, aware of them as well as my own role in causing them.
However, working with Neill has given me a new perspective on my life. I'm learning how to accept things that are outside of my control, manage my mind and avoid obsessing over things that cause me stress, and be accepting of my life, both present and past. I find myself often thinking about the lessons that Neill taught me during my every day life, especially when I face obstacles. Several months ago, I would have let these issues cause extreme stress, fear, and frustration, but, using the approach that Neill has taught me, I am experiencing fewer and fewer negative emotions when conflict arises. I've been a "control freak" my whole life, but my work with her has helped me realize that it serves me much better to let go of my need to control others. My work with Neill has made me not only happier in the moment, but also more hopeful for the future. For the first time in a long time, I feel certain that life only gets better from here.

I had been looking for a relationship coach to help me take a deep dive into my relationship with my son; and then I found Neill and she put me at ease immediately. I had a lot of anger, disappointment, judgment and resentment about what my son did and didn’t do but I was avoiding all of it and trying to push it under the rug. The problem is when we resist or avoid our feelings they keep coming back with a vengeance. All these pent up negative emotions caused me to hold back my love for my son and myself. Neill helped me unlock all the negative thoughts and emotions I had about my son and myself as a mother that were causing me a lot of suffering. I did the work to uncover a lot of my thoughts and stories about what has happened in the past which was not fun but was necessary. She also helped me see that I was only responsible for my own thoughts, feeling and actions and not my son’s or anyone else’s. I was able to drop my story about things that happened in the past and let all the anger, resentment, judgment and disappointment go and realize the only thing that mattered was that I love my son and that I was the perfect Mom for him. Love feels so much better than holding onto negative emotion and suffering is completely optional. My heart feels so free and open and now I have unconditional love for myself, my son and my family. Unconditional love is available in all my relationships. It is a choice we make for ourselves. Thank you Neill for asking tough questions, helping me make sense of my thoughts and emotions and coaching me on what is possible. I have had a relationship transformation and so can you.
You have put the needs and wants of everyone else ahead of your own. You have delegated you to the bottom of your priority list. That’s why you are where you are now. So, in order to get to a different place, you have to do something different. Like putting yourself first. You are not a bad Mom or wife or taking anything away from your family for deciding to take care of yourself.
